Smash and Grab Information and tips for after installation:

PRODUCT CARE AND MAINTENANCE:

The following Smash and Grab Information must be adhered to in order to aid the strengthening and durability process of the film and to ensure proper curing of the special mounting adhesive.

KEEPING YOUR WINDOWS CLOSED:

Do not unwind the windows for a minimum of 48 hours after the installation.

DRY OUT TIME:

The drying out time of the special mounting adhesive can take up to 60 days depending on climatic conditions.

Trapped installation moisture can cause small water bubbles to appear. These bubbles are a normal occurrence and will disappear during the drying out time.

Under no circumstances should you attempt to pierce a water bubble in an effort to drain moisture.

CLEANING:

Do not attempt to clean the film until 30 days after the application.

Only a soft cloth or sponge is to be used for cleaning the windows – under no circumstances must any abrasive sponges, brushes or contaminated cleaning materials be used. Windows are to be cleaned only with a solution of mild soapy water, no harsh detergents are to be used.

A good cleaning solution for window film is ½ a teaspoon of liquid dish soap added to 1 litre of fresh water.

IMPORTANT SAFETY TIP:

To avoid being involved in a smash and grab attack, do not leave valuables inside your vehicle for criminals to see, whether you are inside the vehicle or not. Keep your bags, laptops, cell phones, GPS’s and other items of value in a place in your car that is not visible to criminals.

Although this film has protected many smash and grab victims over the years, we cannot guarantee that the criminal will not penetrate through the safety film and the vehicle’s window.
